Deadly flooding in Italy and France

25 people were rescued after they ended trapped in their cars on a mountain pass on the French side of the country’s border with France, due to heavy rain and severe flooding.

The flooding has already killed two people and left many others missing.

The two dead are a firefighter in Italy and a man whose body was found in Vercelli province.

The storm hit the southeast of France and then moved into northern Italy. It has destroyed bridges, blocked roads and isolated communities.
