Dead trees on Coast Road cut down, 1,000 planted in Madliena

A number of pine trees along the Coast Road in Saint Paul’s Bay will be cut down as they died. 

This was said in a press release issued by the Department of Information in the name of Ambjent Malta. The press release stated that these trees will be cut down as, as is, they pose a threat. New trees will be planted in the coming days. 

Meanwhile, the Minister for the Environment Josè Herrera announced that in the area around Forti Madliena, 1,000 trees will be planted as part of the national afforestation project in which 12,000 trees are to be planted.
