Daphne’s murder: Government considers tribute concert

Minister Owen Bonnici said the Government will consider the proposal to get the Philharmonic Orchestra play a concert in honour of slain journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

Minister Bonnici was answering Nationalist MP Jason Azzopardi’s Parliamentary Question.

Dr. Azzopardi asked if the Minister considered a concert to commemorate the life and work of the slain journalist, in view of the fact that last February a similar concert was organised, in which the Prime Minister’s favourite music was played.

Azzopardi also asked if the same orchestra would welcome concert invitations requested the general public. For this the Minister replied that the orchestra has an artistic team to decide on each concert program.
