Daphne’s murder: Degiorgio gives 24-hour ultimatum for phone intercepts

George Degiorgio known as iċ-Ċiniż has filed a judicial letter in court requesting that the authorities produce all evidence of the phone tap recordings and transcripts which allegedly led to his arrest.

Degiorgio along with his brother, Alfred known as il-Fulu and Vince Muscat known as il-Koħħu stand accused of murdering journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.

In his judicial letter, signed by his lawyer William Cuschieri, Degiorgio has given the authorities 24 hours to produce the evidence, threatening with further court action if they failed to do so.

The letter reads that this would be the last warning and failure to comply would mean that Degiorgio would proceed against them without further notice. The letter was addressed to the Attorney General, the Commissioner of Police and the Head of the Security Services.
