Daphne’s memorial cleared and blocked by police barriers

The makeshift memorial for assassinated journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia has been cleared in what seems to be a move ahead of the wreath-laying ceremony for Victory Day at the Great Siege monument.

This was not the first time that the memorial had been cleared; however, it was the first time that the Great Siege monument was sealed off with a number of police barriers, thus blocking access.

The wreath-laying ceremony will be taking place on Thursday evening at 7.30pm. The Deputy Prime Minister and the Opposition leader will be attending this event.
