Cyrus Engerer submits nomination to replace Dalli as MEP

The Electoral Commission announced that Cyrus Engerer has today submitted his nomination for the casual election to be held next week so that a someone else can replace Miriam Dalli as a European Member of Parliament.

The Electoral Commission said that one nomination was received on the first day allowed for nominations for a casual election.

Eligible candidates who contested the European Parliamentary election on the 25th of May 2019 and who were not elected may present their nomination form daily from Friday, 30th of October till Tuesday, 3rd of November, 2020, at the Electoral Commission’s Office at Evans Building, Merchants Street, Valletta, between 9.00 a.m. and noon.

Counting of votes of this casual election shall take place at the Counting Hall, Naxxar, on Thursday 5th November, 2020, from 09.30am onwards.

Former S&D Vice President and Partit Laburista MEP Miriam Dalli was sworn in as Member of Parliament on the 19th of October.
