Tista' taqra bil- Malti.

Customs enforcement officials seized €21,100 in undeclared cash on the last Sunday of 2019.

During routine checks on passengers arriving from an EU member state, one passenger was found to be carrying the cash after being screened through the X-ray. €10,000 were returned to the passenger, with the rest being seized until further investigations are carried out.

By European and national law, passengers are obliged to declare any amount of cash or cheques over the amount of €10,000 (or equivalent) to Customs upon arriving, departing or transiting to/through Malta.
