Curia to broadcast mass as from Monday

Following the latest developments on coronavirus, the Curia has announced that all daily masses and masses held on Sundays, children’s catechesis are cancelled with immediate effect and as from Monday, the Curia will start broadcasting live a mass every day at 9:30 am and the Rosary at 5:30 pm.

The mass will be televised Monday to Friday.

The mass will be broadcasted from the Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa, at Curia in Floriana, on the website Newsbook.com.mt, the official website of the Archdiocese of Malta and on TVM2.

On Friday, Archbishop Charles Scicluna will deliver the Rosary in front of the Holy Sacrament.

Curia also announced that funerals will not be held in churches but the funeral prayers and blessings will be held at the cemeteries since they are in open spaces.

The Curia said that all those hit by coronavirus and all those assisting them need our prayers and has also reiterated to the general public to follow the measures announced by health authorities to prevent themselves from contracting coronavirus.

Churches will be open as per usual for praying in private.
