The Superintendent for Public Health Prof. Charmaine Gauci addressed an online press conference on the latest COVID-19 cases in Malta and Gozo.

12:51 She has explained that authorities cannot control people from gathering in private properties. Prof. Gauci said when people do so they are still at risk of contracting or transmitting the virus but authorities cannot control what people do in their homes.

She then appealed to the public to follow the measures even when staying at home.

The woman was being treated at Mater Dei Hospital. She tested positive for coronavirus on the 16th of April.
