She then appealed to the public to follow the measures even when staying at home.
She has explained that authorities cannot control people from gathering in private properties. Prof. Gauci said when people do so they are still at risk of contracting or transmitting the virus but authorities cannot control what people do in their homes.
The Superintendent for Public Health said that authorities managed to get the necessary protective wear despite of the high international demand for such equipment.
She also explained that the 4th victim of coronavirus had other chronic health conditions which worsened her situation.
Prof. Gauci gave the details regarding the team responsible for the strategies and measures to be implemented.

The number of active cases is of 195.
A total of 249 people have recovered from COVID-19, said Prof. Gauci
Prof. Gauci said that 26 more people have recovered from coronavirus.

The woman was being treated at Mater Dei Hospital. She tested positive for coronavirus on the 16th of April.
This morning the Ministry for Health announced that a fourth patient has died of coronavirus. The victim is a 96-year-old female
