Covid-19: 64-year old man dies; death toll at 98

A 64-year old man died after being found positive for Covid-19.

The Ministry for Health stated that the man was found positive on 1st November. He died yesterday in Mater Dei Hospital.

The Ministry offered its condolences to the affected family, and stated the importance of following health measures such as washing hands, maintaining social distance, and wearing masks.

Yesterday, two women succumbed to coronavirus the health authorities reported on Saturday evening bringing the death toll up to 97.

117 new cases of Covid-19

The health authorities have reported 117 new cases of Covid-19 in their latest daily bulletin on Sunday afternoon. There have also been 63 recoveries, and consequently, the number of known active cases has gone up to 2,171, once more setting a new record.
