A conference focused on strengthening MCAST’s capabilities in the area of water research, has called for the greater use of saline water in agriculture.
The event entitled, ‘FORWARIM – Fostering Water-Agriculture Research and Innovation in Malta’ presented its findings as part of MCAST’s Water Research Training Centre.
The project partners explained that there should be greater management and governance of water sources given climate change, as well as how water can be better used in agricultural practices without damaging the natural environment.
This was the closing conference of the FORWARIM project, aimed at finding innovative ways to use water in agriculture in the future.
