The number of active cases of COVID-19 in Malta stands at 623 with 29 new cases and 43 recoveries reported.
The new cases were identified through 2,096 swab tests, which bring the total number of swab tests carried out in Malta to 245,028.
The pandemic has claimed 31 lives in Malta so far.
Today’s cases are still being investigated.
From yesterday’s cases, six members were family members of previously known cases, 2 were direct contacts of positive cases, 1 was registered from a social gathering, 1 imported case, and 3 cases from Casa San Paolo, home for the elderly.
18 from Friday’s registered cases were sporadic.
