The Constitutional Reform Committee has met for the first time after George Vella became president.
The meeting under his chairmanship was held on 22 May at San Anton Palace.
In a statement the Office of the President said that the meeting was held in other to continue with discussions on the constitutional reform. President Vella thanked the members for their contribution while he expressed his hope of having further constructive dialogue.
According to the statement, during the meeting the committee discussed the way forward and the methods by which a wider popular participation in this process can be achieved.
