Censu Galea, former PN Minister, has been appointed interim President of the Nationalist Party General Council.
He has been appointed as President of the General Council since he was the runner-up in the November 2017 election which saw Kristy Debono being elected as PN General Council President.
Galea has been appointed following the resignation of Kristy Debono.
Debono had announced her resignation on Facebook saying that in view of the recent happenings within the party it was time for new people to take on the leadership roles within the PN.
Censu Galea has been appointed during the PN Executive Committee meeting held this morning at the PN headquarters in Pieta’. On Saturday he PN Executive Committee discussed structural and organisational reform proposals and the way forward to make PN an effective Opposition.
This week former PN MEP Francis Zammit Dimech has been appointed as interim Secretary General of Partit Nazzjonalista after Clyde Puli resigned from the post last week during a long Executive Committee meeting.
