The Casa San Paolo home for the elderly has insisted that the official report claiming that a case of coronavirus was detected at the home is incorrect.
The Health Ministry said that one new case from the 31 cases reported on Friday had been found at the home.
Care Malta, the company running Casa San Paolo, wrote on Facebook saying that the data was “not updated” and that the home was “covid-19 free”.
Newsbook.com.mt sent questions to the Health Ministry regarding the situation, but has not received a reply until the time of writing.
Different elderly homes have registered a number of coronavirus cases over the past weeks with St Joseph’s Home being the hardest hit. Casa San Paolo, Casa Antonia and Simblija also experienced outbreaks of coronavirus.
Around 113 out of 278 residents have contracted coronavirus at St Joseph’s Home in Fgura. The home has registered a number of recoveries over the past days.
