Caruana Galizia’s assassination under scrutiny of international NGOs

Reporters Without Borders, the Committee to Protect Journalists, European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, the International Press Institute and PEN International will be visiting Malta between 15-17 October on a fact-finding mission.

The five non-governmental organisation working on international press freedom and the freedom of expression will be undertaking a joint mission to Malta.

The NGOs have requested meetings with government officials including the Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and a wide range of civil society stakeholders. The NGOs will also be lending their support to local civil society groups to mark one year since the assassination of the investigative journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia.
