Cardinal Prospero Grech’s photography exhibition at President’s palace inaugurated

A photography exhibition by Cardinal Prospero Grech held under the patronage of the president was inaugurated on Monday evening.

The selection of works produced by the Cardinal over a span of time, feature a diverse array of subjects.

Addressing the opening, Cardinal Grech said that his love for photography started some seventy years ago. He explained that he strives for beauty in imagery taht balances colour, light, and timing, with people and architecture being his favourite subject matters. He thanked President Vella.

President Vella told the attendees that the Cardinal’s academic achievements are well-known. He noted, however, that his photographic skills and photographic material were much less known.

“These photographs are a record of precious, candid moments of the Cardinal’s walks, travels, and journeys,” President Vella said.

Vella thanked all those who made the exhibition possible, including photographer Daniel Cilia.

“Creativity should be the aspiration of all citizens, irrespective of their social, cultural, and political identity,” President Vella concluded.

The exhibition is held at Sant’Anton Palace under the patronage of President George Vella and will run for fifteen days.
