Buses are being disinfected as a measure to combat the spread against coronavirus. Transport Malta posted on social media photos of buses being cleaned and disinfected. In a statement, TM explained how this process takes at least five minutes for every bus.

The cleaning process was carried out at the Marsa, Floriana and Ċirkewwa Park and Ride and in Rabat Gozo.

Transport Malta said that bus stops and bus terminals are also being cleaned and disinfected.

In a separate statement, Transport Malta announced that to avoid the spread of coronavirus it will not accept cash at it’s Paola and Lija offices and it will only accept payments against cheques or credit cards.

In the meantime, the permanent secretary at the Education Ministry, Frank Fabri, also posted on Facebook saying how centres opened for nurses, doctors and other medical staff are being constantly cleaned and sanitized.
