A bus driver escaped unharmed after he lost control over his vehicle and crashed into a wall in Mosta on Sunday morning.
The incident happened over the hill near the statue of St Joseph (San Ġużepp tat-Tarġa), the road leading from Burmarrad to Mosta, at around 7.30am.
A spokesperson for Malta Public Transport which operates the local bus system told Newsbook.com.mt that the company has launched an investigation into the accident. She added that there were no reported injuries.
“Safety is a top priority for the company and we work hard to reduce the amount of accidents on the road,” the spokesperson told this newsroom.
“During 2019 accidents were reduced by over 15% when compared to 2018. As encouraging as these results are, we will continue to work harder to continue to reduce accidents and continue to put safety at the top of our agenda.”
