Breast Cancer seminar to be held in Gozo

A free seminar on Breast Cancer is being organised by Gozo General Hospital on Saturday, Steward Health Malta has announced.

The seminar which is part of recognising Pink October, will raise awareness about Breast Cancer and encouraging more people to check the signs.

The illness affects over 300 people across Malta and Gozo every year, making it the most common form of cancer in the country.

Breast surgeon John Agius, consultant radiologist Dr Savina Zrinzo, practice nurse with the screening unit; Mariella Bonbagi, the President of Action for Breast Cancer; Esther Sant, President of Europa Donna; Gertrude Abela and breast cancer survivor; Doris Sciberras, will be speakers at the seminar.

The seminar will be held at the Citadel Exhibition Hall in Victoria Gozo between 9AM and 11.30AM.
