Bank of Valletta will be reopening its Gżira branch tomorrow, following its temporary closure as a precaution after one of its staff tested positive for Covid-19.
In a statement, the bank said that it contracted an infection prevention control specialist to disinfect the branch, and that it has been ascertained that it is safe to reopen.
All of the branch’s staff are following health authorities’ instructions, and other bank employees will be manning the branch temporarily.
BOV said that the health authorities will be contacting individuals who may have been exposed to the contagion as part of their contact tracing efforts.
The bank also pledged to continue taking all the necessary measures in the best interest and safety of customers, and reminded customers to follow the necessary precautions such as safe social distancing, proper wearing of masks and sanitising.
