A woman’s body was washed ashore in Bugibba this afternoon.
A Police spokesperson confirmed with Newsbook.com.mt that they received a report that the corpse of a woman was brought to the shore at around 2.30pm.
Police officers from Qawra police station went on site and called medical assistance. The woman, a 73-year-old from Mosta, was certified death on the scene.
Duty Magistrate Dr Marseanne Farruġia opened an inquiry.
Investigations are still ongoing and information is still being gathered.
