The Archbishop Charles Scicluna, Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea-Curm and Gozo’s Bishop Mario Grech, along with President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Opposition Leader Adrian Delia invited the general public to participate in the annual fundraising marathon for Dar tal-Providenza, Festa Ġenerożità, on Tuesday 1 January.
During the marathon, the public can meet the residents at Dar tal-Providenza and explore the different on-going projects at the residence care home. Funds collected during the marathon help the residence continue with its valuable work. By donating to Dar tal-Providenza one helps to continue spreading its message and its work within society. The home offers residential services to persons with disabilities in a family-like environment which enhances and maximises their abilities to ensure their full participation in society.
The fundraising marathon will kick off with a mass celebrated by the Archbishop at 9am at the chapel at Dar tal-Providenza and will come to an end around midnight on Tuesday. The marathon will also be streamed live on the main TV stations.
