Bird strike on Air Malta flight

An Air Malta flight was struck by a bird on approach to Lyon this afternoon, the airline has announced.

Although flight KM454 managed to land safely, the aircraft has been grounded while technicians have been working on the aircraft.

The grounding has meant that the aircraft has been delayed.
