Bank of Valletta has renewed its Gold Sponsorship agreement with the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry in its bid to boost the local economy, strengthen the business community and engage with the market.
The collaborative agreement was signed by Malta Chamber President Perit David Xuereb and Deputy President Marisa Xuereb with Kenneth Farrugia Chief Business Development Officer (Investments) representing Bank of Valletta.
In 2017, BOV and the Malta Chamber had launched ‘The SME Toolkit’ which is targeted to guide start-ups through the decision-making phases that a new company has to go through. Perit Xuereb said that this new agreement will be focusing on updating the toolkit with more relevant information and hands-on advice.
Perit David Xuereb said that communication and connection with current and prospective members are at the centre of these objectives. He believes that this could be achievable by reaching out to the younger members that will lead the Maltese economy in the coming years.
Kenneth Farrugia said that BOV’s network of representative offices in key cities around Europe, which include London, Milan and Brussels, will continue to assist the Chamber members in their internationalization visions. He also added that the bank will also sustain its educational campaign on corporate pensions.
The Malta Chamber and BOV are looking forward to continue building on the strong relationship they enjoy, by organising seminars on priority matters that add value to the business community such as occupational pension schemes, family businesses, and access to finance.
They will also shortly be announcing a number of events and initiatives to provide assistance and support for SMEs and start-ups when it comes to access of finance and business growth.
