The perfect afternoon snack for bacon and cheese lovers.
- 8 slices bacon (about 200g, diced, fried and well drained)
- 200g cream cheese (cubed, room temperature)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar
- 1/2 small onion (very finely minced)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- dash of hot sauce
Place the bacon in a large skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, crumble and set aside. In a small bowl, mix the cream cheese, cheddar, onion and add the bacon. Place the bowl in the microwave and cook for two minutes. Remove and stir well. Return bowl to microwave for an addition two to four minutes. Serve warm with galletti or toasted bread.
