Auxiliary Bishop starts episcopate with strong pro-life declaration

Curia –

The newly ordained Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi nailed his colours to the mast in an unequivocal declaration in favour of life in his first short speech. Referring to his chosen motto Bishop Galea-Curmi said that human life is precious because it is a direct gift from God and appealed for its protection from the first moments of life until its natural end.

Mgr Galea-Curmi also said that everyone’s life has value, even those who are fighting for a better life by escaping and enduring a perilous sea journey to a better life. He said that an open heart full of love will help foster encouragement, compassion and forgiveness

“I would like that this spirit of love guides me in my mission and gives me joy and serenity until the end”.
