Informed sources have told Newsbook.com.mt that the Attorney General had passed on the Egrant report to the Leader of the Opposition. This step was taken following a court decision earlier on Monday. A spokesperson for the PN said that the voluminous document had arrived at the party HQ in Pieta.
Earlier, following the handing down of the sentence, the Attorney General had reportedly invoked the statutory two days grace for adherence to the courts’ decision.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Joseph Muscat said that he would be seeking the guidance of Mr Justice emeritus Antonio Mizzi on how best to publish the document without causing prejudice to the ongoing investigations.
