Partit Nazzjonalista stressed that farmers whose land is adjacent to the Central Link project should continue to enjoy their fields.
In a statement on Monday, the Opposition said that the government should shoulder responsibility and ensure that the land is returned into a state where farming can take place.
The PN accused Infrastructure Malta of delaying the necessary works to return the land to the state in which it was prior to the initiation of works on the Central Link.
The Opposition highlighted that the farmers impacted by the project are facing many challenges which are impeding them from farming.
In a statement signed by Shadow Agriculture Minister Edwin Vassallo and Shadow Infrastructure Minister Toni Bezzina urged the government to ensure that the necessary works are carried out without any further delays.
