The common good and social justice are two recurring themes in the 2018 homilies and writings of Archbishop Charles J Scicluna and published in the fourth edition of ‘Kelma ta’ Ħabib’.

The 600-page book gives a good insight into the teachings of the Archbishop as well as the activities of the Church in Malta. Young people take a centre stage as a result of the several local activities as well as the Holy Land pilgrimage led by the Archbishop and his participation in the Synod of Bishops dedicated to youths.

The year in review was characterised by the episcopal ordination of Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Galea Curmi and the installation of twelve parish priests.

Archbishop Scicluna presented the book to the President of the Republic George Vella and to the dignitaries who visited him for the exchange of Christmas and New Year greetings.

Besides fifty pages of colour photos, ‘Kelma ta’ Ħabib’ has an analytical index and a number of QR (Quick Response) codes that can help smartphone users access video footage.  The book published by the Communications Office of the Archdiocese is sponsored by APS Bank.

It can be bought for €15 from the Archbishop’s Curia, Emmaus, B’Kara and Librerija Preca.
