APS Bank has announced that the employee who tested positive to COVID-19 on Friday 21 August is in good condition and doing well and that all other employees working in the same branch underwent the test on Saturday morning and have now all been confirmed negative to COVID-19.
In a statement issued on Sunday, APS bank said it proceeded with disinfection of all the branch premises and a certificate of disinfection was issued.
It was also announced that the Sliema branch will re-open for business as per normal hours on Monday 24 August morning with the full range of services.
APS bank reminded its customers that they should refrain from visiting branches should they feel unwell. Also, when visiting the branches, they must comply with the safety measures in place that is;
- wearing of mask/visor at any time
- use of hand sanitiser gel available
- respect social distancing
- limiting the time spent on-premises
The bank also encourages customers to use as much as possible the digital and self-service machines; myAPS Mobile Banking and Internet Banking, ATMs and deposit machines and for customers to use APS Debit card for operations that do not need interaction with bank employees.
APS Bank apologised for any inconvenience caused and reassured the public of the highest standards of health and safety observed at APS Bank and zero tolerance to the slightest possibility or indication of an infective incident.
