Another Covid-19 case linked to pool party reported

After a day marked by a spike of new Covid-19 cases, the health authorities have reported one new case over the past 24 hours, the 16th case linked to a pool party that took place in a St Julians hotel earlier this month.

No new recoveries were reported, bringing the total number of active cases up to 27, the highest number recorded over the past month.

A total of 850 swab tests have been carried out over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of swab tests carried out in Malta up to 120,995.

Since the start of the pandemic, 701 cases of Covid-19 have been reported in Malta. While 665 patients have recovered, the pandemic has claimed 9 lives.
