Almost 3,000 meals delivered through Buy a Meal project

Following over eight weeks of hard work and dedication the Buy A Meal project has come to an end.

Through this initiative, JCI Malta collected a total of €19,065, delivered 2,997 meals, fed 150 people and supported 10 local restaurants. The project also led to a €5,000 donation to Foodbank Lifeline Foundation thanks to Smart Supermarket.

The idea of the project came about due to the negative impact that Covid-19 had on local businesses as well as the less fortunate sector of society. By collecting online donations from people, teaming up with local restaurants and roping in the help of NGOs, JCI Malta was able to keep restaurants in business and people well fed.

JCI Malta thanked the hundreds of people who donated to this project, as well as the several corporate companies that pooled in their support, particularly: NDC Media, Bolt Food, Rootz, Gamesys and Siobhan Vassallo.
