The hunter that allegedly shot down two storks on Wednesday has been arrested.
This was confirmed by Parliamentary Secretary for Agriculture, Fisheries & Animal Rights Clint Camilleri via twitter message, where it was also confirmed that the Government will not tolerate illegal hunting and ensure that culprits answer to justice.

On Wednesday the storks were taken to the veterinary but they were both certified dead.
According to BirdLife Malta, there are now only seven storks left from the original 18 that arrived in Malta on Friday.
