Airplane turns back to Malta after flying for 40 minutes

A flight to London returned to Malta after flying for 40 minutes after it was suspected that there was damage to the airplane’s lock.

On its return, engineers ran tests on the plane and confirmed that there was no real damage, only technical difficulties involving the cockpit buttons.

A few flights were delayed on Friday, including one to Lyon which left Malta at least 45 minutes late due to a ‘consequential delay’ as well as others as a result of slot delays.
