Air Malta flight delayed after Gatwick incident

An Air Malta aircraft scheduled to operate flight KM117 from London Gatwick to Malta was involved in an incident on Wednesday afternoon.

The flight was subsequently delayed.

In a statement the national airline said that its aircraft was stationary when the jetty bridge malfunctioned and made contact with the aircraft’s fuselage.

The aircraft is being checked by engineers.

Air Malta apologized for the inconvenience caused due to circumstances beyond its control.
