The Alternattiva Demokratiku and the Partit Demokratiku have held discussions to explore possible cooperation between the two. This is not, however, a formal relationship between the parties.
The meetings were said to be held at the AD’s request.
It was also said in the joint-statement that this is not the “opportune” time to formalise such a relationship between the AD and the PD, however it was acknowledged that their political efforts need to be coordinated “in order to serve the country in the best way possible”.
In a separate statement, PD Deputy Leader Timothy Alden also encouraged voters to “continue onto the AD list” in order to “maximise use of our voting system in support of the third party”.
