Alfred Mallia, a well-known actor and educator, has passed away.
He was 70 years old.
Mallia was known for the roles he played in television series F’Baħar Wieħed and Leli ta’ Ħaż-Żgħir, amongst others. He took part in two notable international movies, Black Eagle and A Fine Romance. The latter was filmed in Gozo. He was also a University of Malta lecturer and a radio broadcaster, and held the position of Director within the Education Ministry for some time.
Campus FM paid its condolences to the Mallia family, and said that tomorrow at 9.30am it will air an interview with Mallia done by Lino Farrugia a few years back.
Several actors have also expressed their disbelief and sadness at Mallia’s death. Partit Nazzjonalista also sent its condolences to the late actor’s family.
