A-levels: “According to the SMS she passed, according to the certificate she failed” – Mother

A mother told Newsbook.com.mt that the A-levels results which were sent to her daughter via SMS indicated that she had passed but the certificate which was sent by post indicated the contrary. The mother explained that the SMS showed excellent results while the certificate showed that her daughter failed.

Contacted by Newsbook.com.mt, the MATSEC Board confirmed that a complaint was filed on this issue. Newsbook.com.mt is awaiting a detailed report from MATSEC to clarify this issue.

A MATSEC spokesman explained that when this happens one should quote the certificate sent by mail and not the one sent by SMS.  He also argued that these kind of cases rarely happen.
