A closer look at Malta’s Megalithic architecture

On Friday 7th December, Heritage Malta is inviting the general public to attend a lecture by Mr Mario Vassallo about his observations on the architectural proportions of the Megalithic Temples at the Ochre Hall, Ħaġar Qim and Mnajdra Temples Visitor Centre from 6.00 to 7.00 pm.

Mr Vassallo has conducted a thorough study of the proportions of the Neolithic structures on the Maltese islands, particularly those of the doorways, but also the proportions of the internal spaces.

This study has shed further light on the extent of planning involved in the construction of these buildings and the way monumental architecture was approached by Neolithic communities.

Entrance is free.
