There are nine active cases in Gozo at present, with none requiring treatment at the Gozo General Hospital.
The information was relayed by Superintendent of Public Health Charmaine Gauci during a meeting of Parliament’s Gozo Affairs Committee.
During the sitting, Gozo Minister Clint Camilleri asked Gauci to elaborate on the number of active cases in Gozo in her weekly briefings, to avoid the spread of rumours and fake news. This request, he said, was accepted.
Camilleri emphasised that the 9 cases represented only 2% of the number of active cases in the country.
