The weekend has once more led to a spike in the number of people fined for gathering in groups larger than four, in defiance of regulations introduced to limit the spread of Covid-19.
The latest bulletin issued by the government shows that 71 €100 fines have been issued in the previous 24 hours, bringing the total number of fines up to 1,520.
Additionally, two people were found breaching obligatory quarantine during 451 inspections.
Seven persons have tested positive for Covid-19, of whom six had exhibited no symptoms.
