A 59-year-old man became the latest coronavirus-related death to be registered in Malta.
He is the 45th COVID-19 victim.
The Ministry for Health announced that the man was admitted to the hospital on the 1st of October and tested positive for coronavirus the day after.
The man died at Mater Dei Hospital. He had underlying health conditions, said the Ministry for Health.
Today, 111 new cases of Covid-19 were reported. This the highest number of cases registered in 24 hours since the start of the pandemic.
