49 new COVID-19 cases registered as active cases rise to 507

49 new coronavirus cases were registered overnight after 1,666 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, the health authorities announced on Tuesday.

The total number of active cases stands at 507 and 41 more patients made a recovery.

From the cases registered on Monday, 14 were family members of previously known cases, 1 case was a work colleague, 1 direct contact of a positive case, 2 imported cases, 3 from social gatherings, the rest, 34 cases, are sporadic and contact tracing is underway.
