Italy has reported 32,616 cases on Sunday, compared to the 39,811 the previous day.
The Italian health ministry said that over the past 24 hours, 331 coronavirus-related deaths were registered.
Italy which has been one of the worst hit countries in Europe, has registered a total of 935,104 infections since the start of the outbreak. 41,394 fatalities have been reported to date.
The new president of the Kamra tal-Periti, André Pizzuto had strong words of criticism on the planning system in Malta. He said that this system was bad and that the necessary studies and projections for strategic development had not been carried out since the original Structure Plan of the 1990’s. Acknowledging that the architectural aesthetic in Malta is much less than it should be, Perit Pizzuto said that there are many contributing factors. He said that this situation is also a reflection on a society which values money over the quality of life. Pizzuto takes over from outgoing Simine Vella Lenicker.
