3 caught breaching obligatory quarantine

Three individuals were found to have breached obligatory quarantine during the 393 inspections carried out between Wednesday and Thursday.

A total of 77 fines related to obligatory quarantine have been issued so far.

On the other hand, 18 individuals were each fined €100 for gathering in groups of over three individuals in public. The authorities continue to patrol various areas enforcing a legal notice issued to curb the spread of the virus within the community.

On Thursday, two new coronavirus cases were registered bring the total number of cases to 465. Another twelve individuals had successfully recovered, including a person who is over 90 years. The total number of people who have successfully recovered stands at 351. A total of 110 cases remain active.

The authorities urged the public to continue adhering to the measures rolled out by the health authorities ahead of a public holiday and another weekend.
