27-year-old among COVID-19 patients in Gozo General Hospital

Informed sources told Newsbook.com.mt that currently, 4 COVID-19 patients are being treated at Gozo General Hospital. Among these cases is a 27-year-old woman.

Recently, there has been an influx of COVID-19 patients in hospitals around the islands, with the Medical Association of Malta (MAM) remarking that 16 patients are currently in the ITU, and over 80 people admitted in Mater Dei Hospital.

It insisted that urgent restrictive measures are necessary to avoid the collapse of the healthcare system. 

125 new coronavirus cases were reported by the health authorities on Sunday following 3,285 swab tests. The health authorities have reported the deaths of two men who have tested positive for Covid-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of lives claimed by the pandemic in Malta up to 52.
