25 people arrested in Rabat following drug bust

25 people with different nationalities have been arrested following a raid by the Drug Squad in Rabat during the night.

The persons were arrested following with connections of drugs found in an entertainment establishment in the limits of Rabat. Among the drugs found were cocaine, cannabis, ecstasy pills and ketamine.

The ages range from 17 to 42 year olds. Some of whom are Maltese citizens.

Among the 25 persons who were arrested, four of which, a 37 year old male Serb, a 21 year old Russian man, a 28 year old man from Malta and a 17 year old girl from Tarxien, who were arrested following a connection of around 50 ecstasy pills which are suspected to have been ready for trafficking.

Police investigations are still ongoing, while some of the accused are expected to be taken to Court in the coming hours.
