23 NGOs benefit from €97,000 in funds under Gozo Ministry scheme

Twenty-three non-governmental organisations have benefited from funds under the “Ministry for Gozo non-governmental organisations assistance scheme”, totaling to a shared amount of €96,756 last year.

In a statement, Gozo Minister Justyne Caruana announced that there was an increase in the number of applications received by the Ministry as well as more applications were accepted and found themselves benefiting from the scheme. The success rate increased from 43% in 2017 to 53% in 2018.

The NGOs which received funds under the scheme are the following; Għaqda Mużikali San Girgor, Friends of the Earth Malta, Soċjetà Filarmonika Santa Marija, Wirt Għawdex, The Gozo Youth Wind Band & Orchestra, Dcapitals Band, Mental Health Association Gozo, Soċjetà Filarmonika Mnarja, Gozo Half Marathon, Munxar Falcons F.C., Fondazzjoni Santa Ċeċilja A.D. 2013, Oratorju Don Bosco, Dar Ġużeppa Debono, Soċjetà Mużikali Santa Margerita, Soċjetà Filarmonika La Stella, Malta Federation of Professional Associations, Għaqda Ħbieb tal-Presepju Għawdex-Malta 1985 – Sezzjoni Nadur, The Scout Association of Malta, Arthritis and Rheumatism Association of Malta, The Classique Foundation, Għajnsielem Redcoats, Xewkija Tigers F.C., and S.K. Victoria Wonderers.
