22 new Covid-19 cases, 37 recoveries

Twenty two new cases of Covid-19 have been reported, along with 37 recoveries.

The number of active cases of Covid-19 in Malta is now down to 428, according to the latest bulletin published by the health authorities.

A total of 2,067 swab tests were carried out over 24 hours, bringing the total number carried out in Malta so far up to 194,576.

While today’s cases are still being investigated, the authorities revealed that yesterday’s cases included 6 family members, 3 work colleagues and a direct contact of a positive case. Another case was linked to social gatherings, while 1 was imported.

There have been 1,931 cases of Covid-19 so far, with the pandemic claiming 13 lives so far – the latest taking place only yesterday. 1,490 patients are deemed to have recovered.

The active cases include 9 in Gozo, according to information given to Parliament’s Gozo Affairs Committee.
